Ms. Mildred Smith turned 102 on March 13th, 2016. She celebrated her birthday with her family, fellow residents, and the staff here at Signature of Norfolk. President Obama sent her a signed photo and a beautiful letter wishing her a happy birthday signed by both himself and First Lady Michelle Obama. Every time we told her, “Happy 102nd Birthday!” she responded by saying, “I am not 102, I’m only 80!” Ms. Mildred told us she can always remember two dates–the day she was born and the day she was born again. Happy Birthday, Ms. Mildred!
